Ok, back. Got 10.50 hours left & 0 gain, so, had to write 'turn' on my T-Card for tomorrow. Then I'll take Monday off. Easier to get shiznit done on a weekday. Also, I live near the largest shopping district in the city, so, weekends are a real PITA round heeya. Nome sayin?

I went to Brooklyn first, then to Trenton, NJ. Went back to Maybrook and did a quick rail yard run. Got 466 miles, 2 hours clock... Very nice, easy day as well, except I still can't figure out which state has worse drivers, NJ or the New England states

I wanted to work for Roadway when I retired from construction but I shot out my back and there is no way I can drive a commercial vehicle while taking narcotics and muscle relaxers. I couldn't possible do city P&D or dock nowdays, but I used to do dock work years ago. I'd love to drive linehaul for somebody, but I guess I can just sort of watch you folks and imagine what it would be like to be a valid human being. LOL, think about it, the word IN-VALID, or DIS-ABLED. Pretty much means I used to be something.

Ive done both P/D and Dock work. It s very physical work and keeps you in shape, there was this guy who was 62 and you would never ever know it. It did help me lose quite a bit of weight. When I transferred to do line-haul I started gaining it back lol. But I just bring my own food, work out after work, and its coming off again. Also my bid we have a lot of short runs which also includes a lot of building and breaking sets so that gets physical. I unlike the others dont mind it, some guys just like the bid because if theres no more runs after they finish their firt they get to go home, and get paid 8 hour day. I also like that I can plan time off

I know what you mean about the meds. I take stuff for my allergies, and majority of those meds make you sleepy. But my dr gives me one that I can take before bed at least. I was trying to get back into construction but right now Im making good money, and got senoirty finally. Plus I kind of like not having a boss looking over my shoulder as well.

P.S. Guys I know Bucky doesnt come on here to often but I will say that he is still with us, I see him every so often, not as much as I used too since I started my bid. I think he was below me so normally we would be called in at the same time. I wonder what ever happened to that Holland guy and Dumptruckin... Seems like they both disappeared right after being hired LOL.
