God@#$%! Pilot Truckstops!! I pulled into the port here in Savannah at 13:30 right on schedule, got parked in the oversize breakbulk area and proceeded to pull off all 3 machinery tarps so the marine surveyor could do her job. Then I put them back on till the ship arrives (which BTW was supposed to be Wednesday morning but it ran into weather and is running a day late). Needless to say it's hot and muggy here, rained off and on and my tarps had some road dirt on them, now it's all on me. So I head back down the street to the Pilot, top off my tanks to the tune of $800.00 and head inside for a shower. THEY HAVE NO ******* HOT WATER!! But they were more than happy to charge my loyalty card for a cold shower then after they hand me my shower ticket tell me there's no hot water. I'm usually pretty laid back but there was 30+ customers in the store and even the one's who can't or rather choose not to understand English knew exactly how mad I was. So now I get to drive down to Love's with my very full fuel tanks and spend $10.00 on a shower. Then as I'm storming out the door another driver tells me they haven't had any hot water in the building for a couple days now. Really!, how's the Subway and McCrappyFatteningFood cleaning and furthermore what are the food handlers using to wash their hands?? Maybe a sign on the pumps telling people there's no hot water so a person can decide to fuel somewhere else if the only reason they were buying fuel was for a shower. I wasn't fueling just for a shower but figured I'd get it out of the way then shower. I have 5 showers on my card but unfortunately I don't have a Love's card because my company asks that we fuel at Peelot and Flying J. Not required but I try to fuel where they ask.

I could keep ranting for hours because I'm not going to fight this afternoon traffic to get to the Love's but I'll stop.

I like Savannah but the pilot is a hole....at least it has a waffle house I guess...

When I was taking loads to Mitsubishi down there my wife was mad and called me nuts for not going to eat at Paula deens restaurant... she watches too much cooking channel..

Yes, Savannah is one of my favorite places but the Peelot is a shat hole. Now we just had a really violent storm roll through, hit the big Peelot sign and blew the transformer so now they have no power. (Fortunately I had just went to the bathroom or there would have been a mess to clean up)

Got all my customers taken care of today with my other job.

Loading sod at 7am tomorrow and heading to No Dak.

Paula Deen has a resturant in one of the casinoes in Tunica, MS .... Hands down best food I have had at any resturant ever in life...you missed out on some really good stuff...I believe I gained like 7 pounds in the 4 days I had to sample everything 2x

Lordsburg, NM blown wheel seal on steer, so after 5 hours in the 110 degree sun to laod one piece I made 261 miles today.
