What year is your truck that is being early terminated?
-
2011 pete.. 71 series trucks

I'm surprised they are terminating that yr of truck do you have a lot of miles on it

I haven't heard any feedback from the KW folks, but there is a lot of talk about the 587's spending a lot of time in the shop. For my money, given the choice, I'd probably opt for the Freightliner. Freightliner has really good support on the warranty, and my Cascadia has been relatively trouble-free. I'm sure that can be said about individual examples of any three of the trucks. There will be differences in the truck payment as well... you might want to ping leasing on that before you sign for one.

The truck has about 400k on it but I guess its has to due with maintenance cost on the upkeep since 80% of parts on the truck are now Out of warranty. I was thinking of the t680 but the additional cost are about 65 per check but the est miles per gal on a KW or about 7.5-8.5. Right now I am getting 6.5-7.0 with my 387. I am staying away from the 587 for now, even though it has the Smallest DEF tank (17.9 vrs cascadia and KW have 20.9).

I'm a company driver and I'm looking to switch over to Prime and lease. How are you guys doing with Prime. Any info would be great. Thanks.

I would go with the Cascadia. The DD15 has the best record for these DPF/DEF trucks. The T680 is nice, but not sure about the 13 liter PACCAR MX motor will have the torque that the DD15 has. My Cascadia grew big balls at 180k and I have been pulling hills and mountains with 75k to 80k in the box, passing other trucks and everything. (Amazed me) Two recommendations: Spend the $400 for the gas magnum shocks and put them on (it's easy to do it yourself) and Centramatics for the wheel balancing. I have 205k on my steers and might see 225k. I will get well over 250k on the drives.da1 Thanks this.

I am averaging $1.68/mile for all dispatched miles. My net per week is around $1000 solo, and more because I train/instruct. Just remember that $200 of that is taxes. Not sure what more you are looking for.

Well after looking at both the kw and cascadia I am going to the KW. But I will look at the shocks and the centramatics. I was not able to get a lot this time due to how short I had the lease and available funds. But I did get the privacy curtons and a custom medium blue color. Now just for the decals.
