Of course they would do something like that. Just where do they expect us to park? TA is full, Habib's is full, you're out of hours. Do you drive over your hours and risk a big oos ticket, or do you park on the side of the road and get a parking ticket with a side of threat? These people need to wake up and realize that they can't have their cake and eat it too.

My thought is: WHY THE HELL DO THEY EVEN CARE?
It's an industrial park. They're okay with big factories or warehouses in their town. But, the movement of goods to and fro just irritates them into acting on something that DOESN'T affect them. -
money maker

That Wal Mart dc and the truck traffic through there is what keeps that town alive. I'm surprised that they allow all that truck traffic through their town at all hours of the day and night...of course I'm sure if they could shut that down, they would.
^^^This. More revenue from us rich truckers

When I went to Johnstown Walmart, I had no choice but to park at the small truck stop- and they charged me $20.00 to park my truck! But there was no place else available. If there had been room to park that late, I would rather have stayed at the TA.

If you're coming from points south via I-88 to NY-30A up through Fultonville, I'd stop and take my 10 in Otego. Of course, if you're doing the e-log scramble you may have little choice other than those above mentioned truck stops. When I was going in there, it was only a 3.5 hour drive for me to get there from our yard, so this was never a concern for me.

I was there about 6-8 years ago and delivered a loaded trailer to them, and then they forced me off their property while bobtail and waiting for them to provide me with an empty trailer. Not a great place to visit.

sounds like a boycott is in order.......

Doesn't work too well for all the big name carriers that force dispatch their drivers into there. Deliver the load or empty out your truck. Enjoy!

Actually it was brought on by the individuals who parked there themselves. Trash thrown all over the place including dumping tires and pallets. Improperly parking so as to impede the flow of traffic. Of course piss bottles thrown everywhere. Actually, not only do I work there, but I live here as well. We do not come to your town or backyard to dump our trash and piss bottles. After a while you get tired of it and forced to do something about it. A little common sense and courtesy goes along way. Suppose to be professionals and instead you act like little kids. So we treat you like you act.
