Can anyone tell me what to expect for take home pay on per diem after school and being released to go on your own in TCD thanks

Started the application process and on the portal the Approval Status shows Approved. I appreciate that, at best, this is the beginning of the beginning, but does Approved mean that I should be planning to vacation in sunny NLR, or only that all the application stuff is in, and is now being forwarded to the panel who makes the decision?
I know, be careful what you wish for.

Mikey91, if you go thru the Barn Training (Maverick Load Securement Training) I promise you that you will know more than 90% of the others already on the road today. And if you do it THE MAVERICK WAY- ALL THE TIME- you will be just fine.
Mikey91, sarge26044 and sewerman Thank this. -
Thank you sarge and jxu for the words of encouragement lol. I have no doubt that if I go to Maverick, no matter which division, I will be trained correctly and have people by my side to help me along the way.... Im still going to be nervous reguardless lol.
sewerman Thanks this. -

Remember when......."write down the pro number, send macro 1 code b then macro 31....." For 3-5 weeks then u eval out, send the free form, "ready to roll" after checking your equipment is in order. Qcom beeps........mind goes blank, you have a momentary "oh Shiite" moment, breathe in, exhale slowly, and.......write down the pro number...........lol

It varies obviously, but here's a breakdown of my check from yesterday:
Miles: 3,320
Mileage Pay: 1361.20
Stop Off Pay: 20.00
Gross Pay: 1381.20
Take Home Pay: 1116.59
Now, it's unusual to get over 3,000 miles on one check in TCD. I was on Canada duty for the last 3.5 weeks and those are long runs. Here's a better idea of what I would call an "average" check:
Miles: 2,246
Mileage Pay: 920.86
Stop Off Pay: 20.00
Detention Pay: 165.00
Gross Pay: 1105.86
Take Home Pay: 929.29
I am on per diem, which is very much worth it here. Maverick doesn't play stupid games with per diem like most companies do.
I should also note that this can vary widely. My home time weeks are usually very low, like my last one before this one, I only snagged 422 miles before going home. So obviously a lousy check there, because I took 5 days off that time.
And, it's VERY rare, but I have had the loads fall in a certain way that caused me not to get a check at all. But then I'd get a HUGE one the next week. That has happened twice since I've been here, and both of the big checks had over 3,500 miles on them. It has to be a specific set of circumstances that cause that to happen, but it is possible. You do have to save a bit back for rainy days and learn how to budget a bit.
But I definitely wouldn't keep doing this if it weren't worth it.jxu417, sewerman and streetglidemike Thank this.
