Did I read your response correct that electronic logs cannot do a recap? Seems what was being talked about that you responded to was the recap, and you put in a response of Electronic logs cannot. Confused, but then I normally am. Funny, I have run off of recap with electronic logs for the last 2.5 years. Actually, I like not having to mess with the recap and have it done for me. I like lazy.

No. They cannot change a reset three days back because you need it more now.

Ok. On the same sheet of music now.

Oh well, I am going to take the 1st week of July off for vacation and boycott the new HOS, at least for the 1st full week. Good time for those that have ranted about strikes, shutdowns, and what not to take a little time off, enjoy the holiday. Work on that car you have been wanting to rebuild, go see if the fish are biting, do some target shooting and get that rifle ready for hunting season this fall, etc, etc, etc. Meanwhile the freight sits. There has not been a better time that I know of when you could kill so many birds with one stone. There are some catfish that are calling my name and I got the lumber already in for building that new deck on the house. The truck will just take a break parked next to the barn. New HOS or not, I will qualify quite nicely for a legitimate reset!

Ahhhhhhhh more government BS. Go back to the old HOS ways. Split sleepers, do 9 hrs a day and never run out on your 70 and be able to take an hour off duty when u wanted. Never happen again but just a thought.

They most definitely are for those that own them! Good time for taking that road trip if one has a mind to.

That would work for me. But I agree it is highly unlikely.

Newbies for starter companies don't stay long enough to earn vacation so the freight will keep moving . There are also many drivers will regular , good paying shippers that really aren't affected by the changes and they'll keep moving .
