That's human nature to take the "easy way." Face facts, ALOT of people EVERYWHERE lack integrity and personal courage. Makes me sick! However, it also makes me more determined to do the right thing, EVEN when nobody is looking! I do it for the simple reason THAT MAVERICK SAYS SO!!

Even though Im with Prime now I still do things the Maverick way. I just had a Prime driver last night ask me how and why I secured my skidded coils like I do lol. He then done it the same as me instead of using straps. He's been here a year and never had more than a hour class on securement smh. Thats one thing Prime could definitely work on.

yeah, no need to "re-invent the wheel" after all Dan. Go with the way that YOU KNOW is the BEST.

Another 2 todays at Heaters, WV
This shipper has seen so many drivers that now it is ok to wear shorts . Of course you still need to wear safety glasses and hardhat.
I thought maverick policy was pretty strong against it.
The other one, well, He stop to say hello and I couldn't resist asking WHAT THE F#@$% ?
He had a perfectly rectangular load 24ft long. Guess what , 1 lumber don't cover it. So when he finished putting the back one. A big 5ft x 5ft opening is in the front.
Guess what he used to cover it ? Because using another lumber or even a steel tarp would have take too much time. But it wasn't my problem anyway since he is the one driving the truck.
Those idiots makes us look bad and think for themselves. If we loose this customer because of them , Well, you know how I would feel.jxu417 Thanks this. -
the OP believes there is a degree of prepass
that isn't true either you either have prepass or you don't
all stops are random after that

like the old saying goes are you part of the problem or of part of the solution. Some people would say I am a company tattletale. I would say no if I see something that is not right I will talk to that driver. And the problem will be corrected or he can talk to the safety department.
Some drivers don't want to say anything to another driver and just let it go. To me doing that you are part of the problem. It is just like when I owned trucks myself I cannot see what my drivers are doing on the road. Unless somebody told me or I seen it myself I do not know what's going on.
especially when it comes to securement. You could be saving his life and the lives of others on the road. I ran into one of our drivers he had loose bundles on his truck and only had straps thrown over them. When I told him he needs to use chains and wrap the bundles. He told me that gives him a headache. I told him you can secure correctly or you can talk to safety. That's when he told me that,I'm nothing but a company tattletale.that's when I said if that was true you would be talking to Bobby in safety and not to me.
If you find things to hard to do it the right way May I suggest a trailer with doors on the back.seadog443, Danfromwindsor, frenchy and 3 others Thank this. -
Hear! Hear!! I completely agree and appreciate your tactic in how you handle it. We all should do the same.
