If you meet the criterea I mentioned before you are going to have to get a sleep study for any company you go to. Any time you get a new medical cert you will have to show that you are being treated for apnea if you have been diagnosed with it. If you have gotten a cert in the last six months and have never heard of this congrats you don't meet the criteria. A doctor decided I met them. I have never fallen asleep at the wheel or even thought of it but now due to in my opinion to this dumb ### rule I have to use the cpap and it is a pain in the ### to sleep in. I am sure there are people that need it I don't feel that I am one of them but it doesn't matter apparently the government knows whats best for me and you.

I have sleep apnea, my doctor also has it, and he's a super fit guy, so it's not a size isue but the extra wight dose not help. As far as the machine, it takes a lot of getting use to especially if you only have a mild case like my self, but i do notice a difference when i use it. I know of a driver of a school bus that has IMO a undiagnosed case of sleep apnea they have to get 10 hours of sleep or they will fall asleep at the wheel. They have there dot card for 2 years because they are not over wight, but they can end up killing some one all the same. sever sleep apnea can be a problem when driving any vehicle, or you can just die in your sleep. and no you probably wont know if you have it with out a study.

If you need to shut down, you're allowed to shut down. OTOH, if you're incapable of doing an overnight run, perhaps you should be flippin' burgers.

Im not sure but my bmi and I haven't measured my neck but I'm positive that I would have to. I don't have the disorder either but they probably would end up putting me through it anyways. I'm starting to shy away from this company the more I read.

They won't send you home my recruiter said if you take the test and come up positive that you don't get sent home. They will have you pay back the test and the machine out of your pay checks weekly by percentage
