I'm thinking about replacing my shocks with Monroe gas shock. I don't know what type or part number I need. I tried to look on truck, but I don't see a part number on them. I have a 2006 9400 c13 kcb. Do anyone know what type and part number I would need. I was told the cab has a different shock , from the drives. I need both part numbers ,i'm going to replace all around. thanks

Get OEM part numbers from your dealer.. Then go to this site http://www.monroeheavyduty.com/

Go to Catalog and click on Interchange button. Enter OEM part number and click search... You will get Monroe part number you need.

I use Monroe Magnum on my trailer and on steer axle. Trailer shoks are good, but steer shoks throw some oil, but passed shoks test yesterday, seems to me it is becouse I use trucks on VERY BAD pavement sometimes

Thanks for the help, I got my shocks today. Going to have them put on this weekend. Got them from drivetrainamerica.com $52.04 for the drives and $47.76 for the steers and $27 to ship to NC. Part #65492 for drives and part#65147 for the steers. They are the gas magnums.

I put those on a few weeks ago, they are a VERY FIRM riding shock. In fact, I hated them so much at first I was going to take them off and throw them in the scrap pile, but they have grown on me and now I like them, especially in a side wind.

I want to run Monroe's on my truck, but the dealer only has the Western Star part number and a Merritor number. They said it does not cross over to a Monroe??

Go to a Monroe dealer! :biggrin_25520: Your truck dealer wants to sell you what they stock.
