I'll just go find some 13 ft bridges that my lower sleeper and flatbed will fit under that your reefer won't.

Well, I saw a Maverick Reefer with its top peeled off in Gary a while back.. it was just coming out of Downtown Chicago ....
So I woudn't trust that overpass to stop reefers driver.

Any Rat drivers out there that can tell me if they keep you east of I75 ? It's been a trend for me and a downward spiral on the miles/week because of that.

When I was in RAT I would go to Oklahoma, Missouri, Texas, and Mississippi... but most of the time I got sent to Virginia. Ugh...

Well, for those who run the I81 corridor. WV is getting really upset about speeding trucks in the workzone between Martinsburg and Hagerstown.
Several articles ran on the local paper on how they are going to increase enforcement.
More than 10 accidents happens on a monthly basis due to the aggressive driving. Driver beware !!!!

Also, I had to run I64W, US60W, WV20N, WV39W to US19 this week... Not too bad if there is no traffic..... :biggrin_2551:

I'm currently waiting on my invite from Maverick to go to training in Little Rock, AR. My app was put in on June 9 2013. I can't wait to get there! I hate waiting. Caleb was the recruiter that I dealt with and he was very interested in getting me started. I was wondering what the average time is from the time Maverick receives your application til you get word that you are accepted into their training program? I'm so excited to get started! By the way, does anyone have any general info on the freight lanes for the glass division. That's what I'm signing up for. I live in North East PA, just off I-81 and near the 380 interchange.

    I would appreciate any info??

    Thanks

    Eric

I'm still pretty new in the RAT pack but so far I've run circles from home. About two days out and two days back. I've yet to not make it home on Friday and have always gotten a reset...

For the MOST PART, from my brief experience in RAT and from talking with some good friends who run on the Rat Pack, Regional (RAT) has a lot better hometime percentage than US does. I know one of the RAT FM's (used to run the PLD board) and he recently told me when I was talking to him that his board has a 92% weekend hometime score which is pretty dog-gone good in my opinion.

Most of the waiting time is for employment verification and the big federal background check. The average I hear the most is 7 to 10 days before everything is finalized. Mine took 13 days because USA Truck refused to give up any info on the drug tests I took for them, and it took a call directly to the FMCSA in D.C. to get it straightened out.
