I think he or she was just kidding with you driver, we all have to keep a sense of humor out here.

Or we end up,old and grumpy.. -
According to those who work with me it has not worked.
The sense of humor,old/grumpy thing.
The driving as fast as you can works 100% of the time.
Remember the title of the thread.
Don't laugh! -
Yea you are probably right and it was pretty late or early in the hours when i posted that ,my apologies.I may already be old n grumpy lol.
-
Me too , and I was joking.

wrong. if and buts... AZ, UT , NV, CA and parts of TX 14' 100 % legal.
-
Why can't these states all have the same regs as to load hight, trailer length, pilot car rules, and all the other crap that is different from state to state. Why is something legal on this side of the state line but as soon as you cross the state line you are now illegal. Stupid.
Like we are 50 different countries instead of 50 states in one country. And how do you fix it???? -
Arizona is 13'6" .... Just so u know. We went thru this in a different thread. Trust me, I got in trouble for not getting a permit at 14' tall
-
Be careful about generalizations. It is true that 14'-0" is often good to go in the west, but not always. In Colorado it is 13'6 max on two lane roads. I-70 has one tunnel with 13'-11" max. Probably should check state regs when hauling over 13'-6". It is also good to know your exact height at all times. Had to take a detour on an Interstate in Texas recently and almost went under a bridge marked at 12'-6" which is lower than my tractor. Nearly screwed up as there was no warning other than the height marked on bridge.
SHC Thanks this. -
I saw a Knight Trans Trailer one time in PA., along Rt.80, near Snow Shoe. It was a 14' high dry van. I had no idea there even was such a thing
