cops will eventually start pulling you over to fix the problem. it's what happened to me.

what i did was run a pvc to the back of the truck so i didn't have to breathe it to much.

diesel engines don't get replaced. they get rebuilt. you'll get a piston kit which runs $2g. it contains pistons. rings. rods, bearings, and cylinder sleeves. how much the labor is i couldn't tell you.

i had the same problem on a single axle drop dump truck. the top piston ring on all 6 was broke. winter time came. truck got parked and torn down. company truck.

don't know what engine that was. but it was found that cat installs undersized pistons.

 

cops cant make you fix something that was that way from factory,the blowby tube runs to ground,my detroit has always smoked like a freight train,no problem

 

somehow. i don't think motors were shipped from the factory smoking like a freight train. so yeah, the cops CAN make you fix the problem. it's called polution. specially when the cops think your truck is on fire.

in utah. you can get your vehicle impounded and plates revoked for polluting the atmosphere. specially when it's so bad that cars literally disappear in the smoke. your creating a hazardous condition.

 

As long as it doesnt gum up your turbo. Hey, what the hell, try it and see. Its that or get an old oil bath air filter and mount it for the blow by tube to go through.

 

my idea was to run it into the exhaust. and let it go out the stacks
