Hi STexan,
Thank you for your reply. How did you find good food in the location you were visiting? And what criteria did you use to access a restaurant while on the road?
Will you e-mail me: Luisa@longhaulmagazine.com? I would like to talk to you about your experience.
Kind Regards,
Luisa

Luisa: Year ago I bought there Road Food book. We were on a big road trip to the southwest. Tried 3 in a row. One was so bad we walked out. The other 2 were not even mediocre and nothing like the descriptions in their book. I tossed the book in the trash. One of the restaurants in NM where we did eat was not in the book. Owner told me they insisted on payola to be in the book. Not ethical.

Hi Bruce, thank you for the reply. I needed to understand how come. This helps me with my assessment of who to use! Do you have any recommendations for finding someone(s) for regional great food, that is trucker and route friendly?
kind regards,
Luisa -
Like others have said it is very hard to find parking for a large truck. The odd time when driving through small towns on state roads you can find a diner or some other type of good place to eat. Casinos can be OK. Sometimes there are restaurants within walking distance of a truck stop. But all of the above is still rare.
