As of December 28[SUP]th[/SUP] 2012 NC-68 is not an approved route for double trailers, US-220 to I-40.

i've hauled 60 foot rebar on nm550. actually had dot sitting at that checkpoint at the state line one time and had to buy a trip permit. never said a word about my length.

That's it, its a non issue for the NM DOT unless your overall length exceeds any posted restrictions.
