Did my LONG load today. Everything went on without a hitch. I was a nervous wreck tho driving thru the 2 lane Chicago roads at lunch time. i swear I had at least 3 cars actually pull up UNDER the beams at a stop light. Probably wondering "why is it so shady all of a sudden?" LOL
Made it without an incedent and made a quick $1,200 in 6 hours. Not a bad day.

My new fifth wheel plate came in today, so i will replacing that and my air compressor tomorrow if the storms keep away. Ya'll have a good weekend!!

Loaded in Louisville. I asked if I could tarp at the house and was told "ok". It was load music, beer, and three tarps. I used my two big tarps that came to end of the load. The rear end was exposed so I threw one of my smaller tarps on the rear. I'm not familiar with these customers so I played it safe.

I'm going to try to make this 1400 mile 4 stop load a regular run, but tarping then untarping then retarping might get old. If this works out, I'm going to hook to a Conestoga :)

I just washed someones truck (my contractor). Also washed the 2 tarps that are on the load and it all looks purdy. Time for dinner and a few beerz.

The ol' 387 is going to look good on its way to North Dakota. It'll be my first time up that way. Then a 280 mile DH, then off to Iowa.

*edit* I forgot to put on the tire shine :(. Something for me to do tomorrow :)

We call them fish flies in Dubuque. We get swarms of them about 3 times per year. They can get thick enough to cause traffic problems and coat anything under a light with a couple inches of disgusting half dead fluttering bugs.

I have a Simplex Lite now, which Simplex was bought by Holland a few years ago. They discontinued the Simplex line. So for the last year they didn't have a replacement that I could use with my current legs, but luckily they made a top plate that will fit (I guess all the WS owners complained enough lol) so that's what I went with. An aluminum is about 100# lighter, but $1,000 more. I can scale 50k on my current trailer now, and 100# isn't enough for me to bother with the cost.
