The C-16 should be non acert/ non emission engine. Make sure. This is a big selling point. This engine should get better mpg and power than newer truck. And cheaper. Are you sure the odometer is correct? It could likely be 1.5 million. You could have someone plug in a computer to truck and see what the engine computer says. I would take the 2003 for the engine. If the miles are really 500k the price is not bad. If it is 1.5 million, I might go 15k. Are they in nice shape?
I like petes.I own an '03 with 1.1 million. Runs great.

C-16's dont come in just any ol' truck..
We need more info -
I've never heard of a C16 being offered in anything that wasn't a "large car". It'd be fun if it were in a Century though..I'd buy it just for that
-
They are both Kenworth W900s, both are 18 speed, 86"sleepers, and most likely I'll be hauling cars or vans.

Do you plan on living in this truck..?..Do you plan on being gone for many many weeks..?...Are you out there wanting to ''look kool'' or do you want to RAISE YOUR BOTTOM LINE....Very important questions to ask yourself..Container Hauler Thanks this.

03' for sure if it is bridge or non Acert. C-16 is hard to find and some will pay top dollar for them. 05 is probably B or M Acert. Run good but lots of actuator problems and poor fuel mileage. Been driving one for last 13 months.

Do not want to get off topic, I looked at a C-13 it's built in Dec. '06 and in a '07 T600, pulled the numbers from ECM and it has a life MPG of 7.2 not bad, but it did seem to have a lot of hours on it, 15,086 HRS.

packaging and chrome don't make money, the drivetrain is what makes the money. to be honest it seems this may be a first time buyer, for this unless he knows how and what rpm to run those cats, the fuel mileage alone could break him.

I got a c-15 in a t-600 , my average is 6.8, it depends on loads and how ya drive it.

that's equates to a brick pulling a load of bricks. you would be cool on the stool, but the stool would cost the bottom line.MNdriver Thanks this.
