My husband worked for them for over 20 years and on the 20th year, they leased him 7 trucks when he already owed on 5 to other financial institutions, and his only assets were 4 paid off trucks. No way the math would have worked out. He passed away within months of leasing the last ones. When he passed, the company pulled back the miles of the trucks so that, eventually over the next 2 years they had sucked out all of his life insurance money trying to pay the drivers and the maintenance. (and speaking of maintenance, they had double charged me on more than one occasion, and at one point when I was charged for something on the road that was proved to be a couple of hundred over, I was told it was already paid so there was nothing they could do) At no time was I aware that I could have simply turned in the lease trucks, but instead, was told I had to sign the papers to "take over". (same thing with the other lenders) CR England deliberately ran the trucks less and less miles until I was broke. Incidentally, he had left me to "date" a person in the IC department who had me pulled into an office and reprimanded because I was talking on the phone in the restroom about the situation to a relative and never mentioned any names - apparently close enough friends to one of the owners to call and complain while on vacation) I was working in one of the departments at the time and within a month or two of him passing, they fired me. Thanks for the 20 years CRE. Thanks for taking me and my kids future away. I'm still getting occasional bills. In the final year, the net earnings were over 591,000. The actual money deposited by them a little over 100,000. When I was broke and couldnt sell any more personal property to pay the drivers, I parked what was left and am still dealing with the headache. When I stopped, they changed the "check" amount to say they had deposited over 420,000, and then again to over 210,000. I still get "settlements" with some charge or other. Never out of the hole. Religious? Right.

Sorry for your loss, but who takes on leasing 7 more trucks, when they still owe on 5?
precisionpower Thanks this. -
Possibly the same person who's been given bad advise about how the debt ratio would make the 20 yr dissolution of marriage easier. Meanwhile, the commission for the lease of those trucks went to... Same person who kept all his Personal property when he passed away and claimed it as hers.

Such a sad story...but; with 20 years in the business, your husband should have heard the old saying atleast once: "3 trucks will pay for 1"
Never in my life have I heard: "4 trucks will pay for 12"
Condolences on your loss.ricsh Thanks this. -
Basically another company that makes claims about how "Christian" they are, then they go and give their drivers and lease-operators, along with their families, a thorough screwing over.....and people wonder why I want nothing to do with organized religion.

I am sorry to hear about your loss. I know that CRE is in a lawsuit about overcharging and short changing on the settlement sheets for Lease operators from anywhere from charging the lease owner having a student on their truck to shorting miles to not reimbursing for lumpers. I would check it out and see if you can get in with the suit as you may have the proof of being short on your settlement sheets. It may be worth a look.

Stay away from Butler out of Kansas City, they are the scum of all scum, they will take money out of your pay for repairs on their trucks I had a problem with the reefer unit it cost $315 for repair, that came out of my check, they say they pay you.34 cpm but when you get your check they are only paying you.23cpm, they charge you for orientation, which they say they tell you that so many lies the recruiters tell you,

One should probably make this post a stand alone post, instead of posting this information on a post of a completely different posted subject.
That is all.............average joe Thanks this.
