N14 Cummins low pressure (solved)

    Truck came in with low oil pressure. Battery of test indicated internal failure, but where?

    Dropped the pan and lo behold, what is this?

    Piston cooler nozzle broke off. We went ahead and replaced all 6. Cheap insurance. 916k miles . year 2000

    I've seen that on a few n 14 engines.the older STC engines woulud smoke real bad when started when they break off too.

    Whats considered low oil pressure? I have 40-43 hot going down the rd and 20 or so at a hot idel.

    Thats good pressure. Cummins has a low pressure high volume system.
