    Already home. I suspect that may well happen; that's why I already have a reporting date for another company's training. I'm giving them a week to call me. Worst case is that with six months under my belt, I'll re-evaluate my options and see if Prime is the best fit for me as an experienced driver.

    Sorry they wasted your time but once again if that doesn't work check out Roehl when you have experience. The only way I got thru was because they didnt find out until we were about to go that I was a girl. The truly didn't know.

    Ok I spent the day trying to get my permit from Tennessee. I got my DOT medical card (required for the permit) and went and took the General knowledge test and did good, only missed one on the air brakes. Pretty much bombed the como vehicles section. I am going to that section next week. I am closing in on the date I want to start with Prime. Hopefully but the end of October I will be there.

    I wanted to ask you about prime? it's a toss up between them and Central Refrigerated, Prime would be no brianer, if i did come across your post about how long they had you waiting. i am to female and have sleep apnea also we have some things in common. do you think it was a fluke are a common occurrence ?

    If you smoke, you will probably get placed right away. Most nonsmoking women get placed within a week or so.

    When I was there, the policy had just changed. There weren't many instructors qualified to teaching female PSDs, and they were still working down the backlog of women who had been waiting for up to a year.

    The women in that initial surge should be clearing TnT now, so their instructors and trainers should soon be available for new students.

    If you can go two months without a paycheck, I highly recommend Prime. I would have gladly sat there another month if I could have afforded it.
