Sorry, been on vacation...you will go with a trainer for a total of 2 weeks....there is a three and a half day oreintation then you will go with the trainer...usually starting on Thursday...for a period ending two Thursdays later...thats when you would get your truck assignment and go pickup your first load that will usually take you home....total of three weeks out the door.

And yet they called me two weeks ago-and I live in MN. I politely declined (personal reasons) perhaps they made a mistake??

Greetings drivers of BTC. I just recently got hired on to a notable flatbed trucking company... (they are a work in progress) but I was given an opportunity that I really appreciate. I have already made it up in my mind to join BTC after some gained experience with my current employer. I would like to know some specifics that might hinder me from being employed with BTC? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Started with BTC last week. Had to go out with a trainer for 2 weeks cause I didn't have any flatbed experience in the last 3 years. I have about 5 years of flatbed experience so all I have to do is re-learn everything from before and also learning to do it the Builders way, which was the way I used to do it anyway. After 1 week with my trainer, I am really enjoying working here and everyone has been nice and helpful with everything. If all goes well, I should be able to upgrade to my own truck next Tuesday. Looking forward to meeting the other BTC drivers that are on here in the future.

I've had my cdl since 2005 but I've never drove for any company. I was wondering if BTC hires guys like myself that have a cdl with no experience? I am currently with a meat processing company and I've been with them for about 8 years. I live in North East Pennsylvania near Scranton. I plan on being at my current job at least til mid September and then I'd like to make a move towards a cdl position hauling flatbed freight. I have researched several other companies and BTC is in my top two that I've researched.

Contact Shelly at BTC. She's the recruiter and can answer any questions might have.
