TWT and System Transport both run Alaska. TWT teams split .48 and System Transport teams split .50.
Call to check the solo pay. I think TWT runs Western regional, Canada & Alaska and System Transport runs all 48, Canada, Alaska & has a terminal as far south as Laredo, TX.

These two companies would be good for you. Try to avoid the mega-refrigerated carriers if possible. They do serve a good purpose, but for weekly/annual pay, you can do much better.

Team pay : Example, your being paid .48 cpm team pay which means you personally are being paid .24 cpm, but, you are being paid this while you are in the sleeper berth or driving. You are being paid for all miles the truck rolls down the road. The other driver is also making .24 cpm whether sleeping or driving.

Yes he can see that kind of per mile pay let me explain how,,, get your cdl and get 6 months experience from any mega carriers then switch over to Jb Hunt otr they will pay you 0.41 if you want to stay out for 4 weeks at a time but you won't get no miles,,, now we were just talking about miles pay not weekly gross or anything else..Prime pay 0.41 cpm for northeast regional now he can make that amount per miles with even 3 months driving experience

Several of the small local outfits that come to recruit at my CDL school are advertising .43 to .50 cpm for new grads doing regional work (home on weekends).

I averaged $750 a week after 6 weeks of training and doing that with an average of about 1600 miles weekly. That was running regional and home 2 days every two weeks.

Why on earth would you do that? Stop spreading rumors like that! There is nothing out there, no law, no rule, no code to live by, that says you HAVE to work for a mega-carrier to get experience first! That actually harms you more than it will do good! If I owned a trucking company and on your resume it said your only experience was Swift for 6 months I would hire you. All that means is that everything you have been taught in the last 6 months is wrong! It means you were trained by a trainer with 3 months experience themselves and then on your own for 3 months.

I'm not going to tell you you're wrong Chompi, because you're right, you don't HAVE to work a year for a mega carrier. But don't you think it's fair to say you should be "prepared" to? From what I've gathered, you're talking about the exception, not the rule. It's great to let people know there are options, but you're gonna have people here thinking they can all get a local job for big money immediately after CDL school. Not everyone is as lucky as you or your friends.

It's not luck. Luck has NOTHING to do with it. It's keeping your background and driving record clean, preparation, research and work.

    Pmracing Thanks this.
