I always put down "open for discussion". Or you might put down the minimum you would work for.
-
I mean if I have to move to somewhere and put up with crossing the border I would like at least $40,000 a year. Is that too much to ask for?
-
No. Aim high. You know how many US drivers won't come to Canada? Tons. That right there is a big plus for you. If it is hourly, I would put down $20 per hour. If you prove to them you are good and don't tear things up, you will be worth every penny of that. Don't sell yourself short.
-
Just put open. What you're asking sad to say, you're not going to make even close to 40 k.Try 25 to 30 k a yr.You might receive additional pay for crossing Canada but you dont go there all that much.
-
The Best way to answer that question is to put down " OPEN " If you put down $100 /Hr you will be asking too much If you put down $1 /Hr you are selling your self short Besides why not ask what does the job pay? before you fill out the a bunch of Apps that may or not be considered.

class b drivers don't make anywhere near as much as class a.
in utah. it's basically minimum wage. but class a wages have dropped considerably since the recession and have yet to rebound.
you put down $20 and applicant B puts down $19. guess who gets the job.
leave it open and see what they pay. then you can decided if it's worth it. -
When I was a company driver, I always put down negotiable
