    Sounds interesting.

    And what about these?

My first thought was Roehl trailer but what are the chances of that considering the ***0001 number it has.

I wonder how tarp pay will work out on these. As we own our own tarps we need to swap out with yard tarps if we drop the load somewhere and that is a weak point with the tarp pay as it is. $25 to tarp and $25 to untarp but if you have to swap it's only $25. $25 to tarp, untarp, and tarp again.

Maybe it will be a regional gig near rail yards so the drivers can carry around yard tarps.

I'm pretty sure we won't be tarping an intermodal container... It will basically turn us into a dry box truck...

I hope your right. The Website is pimping them as tarpable, someone might get excited enough to try it.

I'm pretty sure we won't be tarping an intermodal container.:biggrin_25513: It is not a container , it is a FLATDECK that gets treated like a CONTAINER ( lifted off / loaded on a train ) and loads get tarped.

CONTRANS in Canada have been doing it for a little over a year and they haul lots of the same matertial PRIME hauls , steel , pipe , lumber , insulation , A/C units.

This shows a bit on how its done http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GfMVO3NKPIY

Raildecks’ revolutionary flat-deck design now means industrial freight can access the Class 1 railroads’ extensive intermodal network that extends throughout North America. With billions of dollars invested in physical infrastructure and equipment, Class 1 railroads have the capacity and long-term vision to deliver transportation services at truck-like speed.
