Took this when I stopped at walmart in wood haven mi. I will admit when I check it pump to pump it usually reads 1-2 tenths high. But the 10 still looked good. This is with a 10k load, on flat roads doing 60mph. When I got home to the east coast it was down to 8.8. And yes this is US gallons not imperial. Wish I had these loads and roads all the time!!!!
Looking for Tripac pricing new or used.

I just bought ( after a lot of research) a 2012 780 I shift D13 455 with a Tri-pak.....can't wait to get it....
Only thing I'm worried about is the DEF.....not sure what I will spend on that yet ...... -
So far my cost this year for def is .016cpm.. I only buy from the 'bulk def' pumps, the amount used varies but I would estimate 1 gal. Def for every 40-50 gal. Diesel burned. This is what I've experienced with fl cascadia, I would assume volvo or other new emissions trucks would be similar.

Thats still a lot of money at the end of the year....on 100K miles....$1600
Thanks for the info... -
I am waiting for my new truck and the Tri-Pac is costing me $12,800 CDN installed here in B.C.
Elroythekid Thanks this. -
I got one used installed for $5800.00 at a thermo King shop under 10,000 hrs new ac parts and heater full service on the motor.
Seabass521 Thanks this. -
A friend of mine was telling me that the company he is leased to is buying some that have been completely rebuilt, painted, and installed for under $5000. Next time I talk to him I will see if he has any more details on it as to where they are getting this done at.
Elroythekid and trees Thank this. -
Show picture wth life. Not saying you are not getting this but according to Volvo NA They dont have any trucks that can get close to 10mpg and told me that my 780 will be lucky if it see 7mpg life adverage. Which I can get 11mpg empty as good a 8mpg light load but normally I am around 6.8mpg uasally running 68-72mph most loads under 20K running back and forth from Atlanta to NC

You can get a brand new Carrier APU for around 9 grand, installed. I almost pulled the trigger on 1 last week..... The Carrier's are better than the T-king units, (the salesman thinks so, anyways), the Carriers come with a 5.5 kw generator and run a better a/c compressor, (supposedly). I'm going to keep looking for the right deal, I'd like to be around $8,500... I already have an APU with a generator, but the compressor failed and the oil in the lines is contaminated and so if I'm going to fix the a/c on it I'm looking at new lines, receiver/dryer, condenser... I'm going to try and get a household a/c unit and run it off the generator, and go from there... But if I do splurge on an APU I think it will be the Carrier unit.... I'd like to know if anyone is running a Carrier and what they think about it...

Calculate the actual fuel mileage based on miles driven and gallons used and get back to us.... I think you're going to find that the numbers are different from those your truck is showing you...
*edit* I just saw that you said it varies from the mathematical numbers by a few tenths... I'm thinking by more than just a few....
