It'll all be OK Whatever the case maybe it is B.S. the price we have to pay for fuel. Didn't mean to step on ur toes just one of those quick thoughts about the oil patch that I should have kept to myself. I have hauled crude for the past 7yrs and am plum burned out. Doesn't take much to get me going. I have put up with allot of B.S. in the last 7yrs.
So you want to haul crude oil in the badlands of ND?

I know DVT's history. And as for a plan B ... of corse, it's kinda normal up here. You always got to have something else in your back pocket, just in case. I am being treated ok and am making good $ and the checks don't bounce, but I don't like the direction they're heading so don't know what the future brings. But not afraid to jump ship, too many jobs up here and my experience will help.Thx for your concern Drivers. To sum it up, I know better than to drink there kool-aid.

Does anyone have any information about ULM trucking jobs working the oil fields and if they are a good company and what kind of money a person might expect ? Thanks

yeah any info on if or not a new trucker can go up to ND and make some money would be great. been trying to find some info on the companys that are hiring out their but sometimes searching google is like throwing a hot dog down a hallway..never know what kinda stuff your gonna pick up once it stops rolling
thanks -
The trucks were a year ago, when we lost our contract. I was there then, and back again. Things are better than they ever were, and most of the probs were the water side, but they do have the same sticker on the door...######

I just got my green card two weeks ago and I will be coming to the US in a couple of months - the company that sponsored my green card 7 years ago still has a job offer for me.
What I really want to end up doing is being an O/O at one of the oilfields - Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, or most desirably - North Dakota. I have enough in my bank to buy a used 2007 Peterbilt 387 outright.
I am thinking of getting any job up there in ND in order to get the experience and save up a bit for my running capital.
What do you think? Any advice? -
In my opinion it might be better to come up here and work for someone and get your feet wet (& cold ) before buying a truck. This place ain't for everyone, like the other guy said 20+yr drivers might fail and rookies might shine.
