yeah I will check into it, talked with a Swift driver earlier in Mira loma terminal and he told me go talk to a DM there about walmart dedicated, he said sometimes they dont care about how long you have been with swift as long as you have no violations and good on time percent.

The on time percentage is the most important. in the two months I was OTR solo I ran many JIT loads and have never been late. I also have 1 backing accident that happened on my first solo run, and 4 critical events due to a problem with my truck. The shop said they couldnt look at it unless I could duplicate it, and safety told me if I duplicated it I would get tagged with it. So they gave me a new truck. I went 4 months with no CE then in 24 hours I got 4 of them, got a new truck and have none in the last 3 weeks since I got the new truck. my Risk score is around 38 and they still moved me over to run surge.

hey wolfy have you tried to do some surge work for costco?, I can't speak for california but here swift is the only other company that delivers for them. As far as I can see theres only two dc's in cali with a ton of stores. Right now its super busy with furniture being sent out to all the stores. Maybe you try for costco instead of walmart?

You just gotta find these DCs like Walmart Costco ect with a Swift office there and ask if you can help them out. You can try DM but I found my DC by another DRIVER and I called and asked

If you see a Swift truck pulling someone elses trailer get him on cb or stop n ask they might help you out

All the costcos ive seen is running Swift ive been to about 3 DCs

I hate Costco loads you usually can only del at certain times and u always end up sitting because u have some much time on them or the loads I did for them anyways but I also like to run run run and sit only when my clock forces me to

I run Walmart I love it

yeah I am sitting and waiting for hours to pick up this costco load that has a sharp 6am appointment time, trying to pickup and stay in my 14 hour window, wasnt enough time to drive there and get a 10 in or even a split sleeper so it kinda ruins 2 days since I have to sit and do a 10 tomorrow when they finish unloading.

I ran Costco out of Morris, and on the reefer side it was mostly all live unld, but only took about 1 hour. Every time that I have delivered to Mira Loma, always a live uload, but never took more than 1 hour there. Now I know that most of the Costco van loads out of Morris are drop and hook, at least at the store. Wal-Mart reefer surge is not that hard. Only thing with them that bugs me, get those little yellow stickers

Yeah it comes with the territory, for me what ends up happening is I take a pallet load or a rtv load back to the DC then get my next load. Usually costco will let you camp out in their parking lot.

yeah I got at the costco at 3am making great time and even stopped a couple times, took a little nap and checked in at 5:45, finally called me to a door at 7, unloaded finally at 9:30, I was -1 hour on my 14, camping at the edge of the lot right now for my 10.
