Well ill edit what i said. You can be successful after a week. I only trained for 2 weeks and im successful, and i saw that now that you can go out longer if needed so i stand corrected and like i said good luck on your new adventure but i swear some of these drivers i dont understand how the school passed em.
You can lead a horse to water but cant force it to drink ya know

They gave me a truck and flipped me the keys, and said get after it. If I owned a truck I would never have trusted me with it at that time. Basically taught myself. Almost 2 years later, no accidents, dinged trailers ect. I've turned into #### good driver. But it wasn't due to the training. Wish I was trained by Joker, but I wasn't, It's a crap shoot on the trainer you get their.
At the pumpkin now. During orientation you spend alot of time on the skills course practicing backing and manuevering ect. SNI knows what they're doing. -
Thats def the truth. Its a crap shoot there alot of bad trainers but also alot of good. You re always gonna learn more on your own after you solo then with a trainer. I think the main thing that takes so long is trying to teach someone the 13 spd if we had 10 spds id be able to crank em out faster lol. But ill never solo someone out unless i feel they re ready and they feel the same

I think it's much better now that they changed the trainers pay there now. SNI though, has got it down as to their training. But to be honest I wasn't trained there so that's just my observation. -

Yes, ever since they changed the trainers pay it seems like the students are getting better training which is sad but some trainers are money driven. And thanks for the compliment

I am fixin' to go to SNI.I have'nt drove since 06. I got a refresher couse, but I am still nervous about SNI training.I don't wanna be thrown out there. One week with a training engineer sorta scares me!I wanna be sure I get thorough training before I go solo.I'm not worried about driving as much as I am about all the little/detail things.
Does anyone know if SNI will let you stay with your training engineer longer if you need too?If so,how long can you stay with the trainer? Thanks. -
My son just started only got 3 days On the road training wanted more didn't get it they are not a safe place to start right out of trucking school.
-
I feel like I have posted about this ten times before but here goes again. I am a Trainer for Schneider bulk, if your not ready you stay. The week is a guideline, not a definite. Most people are fine after a week. In my experience most people are on the truck for about 12 days.
