Mandating time trained on the road would make highways much safer, everyone knows that. Trucking school only gives you what you need to pass and get CDL not real road experience. Especially since your newbies get all the worst routes that no one wants like the George Washington Bridge=poor dieselfuelonly. I wouldnt drive that in a car much less a Rig. No one ever stops being a Mom, it doesn't matter how old you are. What I need to do is let go and pray and have faith God will protect him out there not getting the on road training needed. YEP And if you are training at Schneider go ahead tell your boss Im out here screaming that they better start giving newbies more than 3 days OTR training and up it to at least 2 weeks, and then Ill go away and be happy with Schneider.

His reply should be Oh no DOT is gunna stop us from being greedy now and make us actually be safer lol U and I both know thats what its all about train them quick get them out there to make Schneider some money and we don't care if they know what they are doing or not=shouldn't be happening, Schneider needs to pay the trainer and not pressure them on getting them on the road alone without at least 2 weeks training. Company greed is Ugly, especially at the sacrifice of Americas highway safety!

tell him to quit. Right now. walk from the truck and apply to werner. They'll have him out 4-8 weeks. Getting real tiresome reading this over and over and over and over.

    Worried Mom Thanks this.

Schneider does pay the trainers extra first of all. Second for the last time, nobody rushes trainers to pass students. Now I am going to ignore you.

its called research. You should look into it. Give you something to do. Any number of companies listed on this subforum. frankly ma'am, I understand, but please just stop with the 3 day thing. it was old the first day you posted uncounted times.
exp was 8 days , 2 students. I drove approx. 1800 miles in that 8 days. Bumped one dock. Gave up some of my rightful time to the other student as he was struggling a bit.

One thing you should know, EVERY day out here is a training day. Always learn something new.

looks bad on you if they aren't trained fast Im sure kinda a catch22 Im sure and yes I know they pay you very well to train. Don't expect me not to post about it until they give them adequate OTR traing time and feel free to ignore me lol I don't care.
