try taking ramps in so. cal at posted speed limit and see what happens.....

always always take the ramp at LEAST 5-10 mph slower than posted....if unsure about how the load is secured....slow even more....

if the OP really does mean curbs.....then well...ummmm there aint no help for him:biggrin_2551:

Well as much as it can be a pain, in training we were told never to take an off ramp higher than 35 mph, and if its posted lower than that then a min. of 10mph under the posted speed. (So those 15 mph off ramps are 5 mph lol)

Looking back, that is good advice. And I still slow way the heck down on a curve that is new to me. I would rather slow down a row of cars behind me, than roll the truck and stop the row of cars behind me.

I used to haul swinging meat a long time ago....high center of gravity and it moved, the rule on that was that you could go like hell in a straight line but always go slower than the posted limit on ramps and curves. You really don't lose very much time in the long run.

I also take ramps and curves a lot slower than the posted yellow, I do it based on how it looks and how comfortable I am going through it, if it says 55 then im taking it at 50, there are some I take even 10mph slower since its sharp. Took one the other day that was 20mph posted and it went almost in a complete sharp circle, I took it at 10mph

I irritate 4 wheelers daily slowing down, they usually get mad then try to fly past me, funny when they try and its a 2 lane off ramp that merges shortly and they cant get past me and have to let me over, I do get the bassholes who fly past me using the shoulder and I have to hit the brakes, some of these 4 wheelers are just asking for me to run them over like a monster truck

    I can tell.
What happened to me once is that i was changing to middle lane, was half trough when an old lady decided she wanted too!
I decided not to move and see how far i could take her...she didnt even moved a hair...untill i honked!
People are not as polite as before.

    Good luck!

I get one in like 50 cars who are polite and will let me over, I get plenty of the bassholes who just cut me off or speed up when i put the blinker on even when they were behind me and could of let me over.
