Trucking Company Sued for Harassment

My wife was a school cook. In a kitchen with five women, three will gang up on the other two. The ones who do not work diligently, will gang up on the conscientious workers. Yet, when my wife happened to meet one of the "gang" out in public, they would treat her with friendliness as though she was one of the gang. My wife was more than glad to retire. They drove her out, and it makes me wonder who is left to do the work.

 

I see it all over. I guess its just human nature left to its own devices.

 

Sounds more like people who haven't grown past middle school than the fault of a particular gender.

Although it is bothersome that women are expert mental ninjas(stolen from a Dane Cook skit).

True story here for ya, I was working in a business , local construction driving dump trk and working on a patch truck with hot and cold asphalt. First woman hired in 75 yrs. I walked into the garage on the second day and the mechanics started to take there calendars down.
I said "Hey Gentlemen, that's not neccessary . I should hope to have thighs that tight and fit after working on a paving truck in a couple months, if those pretty ladies in there swim suits keep you happy , that's just fine with me, then my truck will run like a top, Thanks for your concideration(sp), but no need, to take YOUR calendars down."

 

What goes down in the Womans Can , stays in the Womens Can, especially if the Bully B**** has to explain why her head and hair is ruined and reeking from the toilet's water.

That looks Western, I held the door shut with a garbage can while my cousin held a Daisy in the water hole for a moment. Handed her a towel, told her to dry off and step outside as a "Grown Woman", I still laugh about that , I was a cashier at a large Bar ( entertainment like Sawyer Brown and Randy Travis when they first started out.) and the woman getting doused was the Floor Manager and the douser was a waitress!

Like the Church Lady says " Isn't that special"!

 

The story of my month in hell with these 2 "ladies" is under the Bad Trucking Company topic in "CRST - Abuse, lies, and a truck with a cat" if you would like to read about how difficult it can be working with female trainers. That month was 5 months ago, and I still cringe when I think about it. As I said previously in this thread, I am a woman, but to say women can be difficult to work with at times is an understatement. Every job I have ever been miserable in has been when I worked with mostly women. One women I worked with years ago even got upset and wouldn't work productively with me for over a week simply because I got my hair cut. Her explanation was that I had offended her by cutting my hair because she could see me from her desk and I had disrupted her daily routine by making something she could see different and new without her consent. Talk about crazy!!!!

I learned early in life, in first grade actually, to avoid dealing with other women as much as possible when a "gang" of "pretty girls" surrounded me on the playground and started chanting "baby socks, baby socks" to ridicule the lacy socks my mother had bought for me. Adult women have proven to act no better than that as well. After first grade I always played with the boys, and I guess my parents started wondering if I was going to turn out to be a lesbian because all my friends were guys by middle school, and I wasn't a typical girl. I turned out to be straight though, just with an aversion to dealing with mean spirited females. Offer me a job with a group of women and then offer me another job with a group of men, even for less money, and I will work with a group of men anyday. It is much easier on the mind and stress level.

And LilTruck I loved your story about the calendars.....I'm the same way. I could care less if men tell dirty jokes or have their pictures up. It's what makes them guys. Last time I checked it is still a free country - though getting less free all the time.

10-4, I agree why cant we all just get along and be kind to each other its so sad.we're all in this together were never gonna get the job done if all we do is stand around and point the finger and complain ....
