We have a small fleet of trucks leased long term through Penske, and would like to know if my company, or Penske sets the password for computer controlled adjustments through in dash screen. By knowing who set it, I can start with their known numbers ie. phone#, address etc. also try using truck #, vin#, license..
Will save me a lot of time... only 9,997 combinations more to go LOL
Hacking Penske password?

What are you trying to accomplish? Trying to turn it up? I would imagine Penske sets the password since they own them.
TheDude1969 Thanks this. -
Yes, turn it up... and also general curiosity.

Don't you have to plug it into a computer with the manufactures program to make adjustments? Try making a friend with the mechanic at a Penske shop. A six pack and 100 bucks might get you what you want. There is a guy around Effingham, il ( by the Pilot ) that advertises on the cb to do it. I heard of another in Amarillo doing it as well.

It doesn't seem that it needs to be plugged into OBDI, it has screen options in dash to enter password? 2012 Volvo

Sweet! Good luck. I would rule out vin or anything specific to the truck. It's probably a master pass that's used on all trucks by Penske. I know England uses 1 code for all their trucks and if I remember right it was only 4 digits.
TheDude1969 Thanks this. -
OBDI??? Antediluvian even by passenger car standards.
I don't think bribing a technician would work. Those things log EVERYTHING. Probably even when someone changes settings. Wouldn't be worth my job.TheDude1969 Thanks this. -
trucks don't plug into obd1. that's for cars 1995 and older. 1996 and newer had obd2.
trucks have something else. some type of jbus and there's 2 types.Caspers Ghost and TheDude1969 Thank this. -
Yes bribing a tech can work. I've watched many drivers do it.

'Antediluvian' not fair to use big words! I had to look it up... LMAO
Sorry I began as a car mechanic and sold my truck b4 computer controls... didn't know what to call the doo hickey next to the sneezing pin.
Computer logging my changes is not a concern for me.
