soo .........Finally got on the road and time for truckersreport ... so far so good. Got a sweet run from home to denver (6 stops . 55 chilled )
i am keeping it on 65 mph. its running good . I wouldnt say smooth but hey it is a 18000 dollar truck. bUT mann i love that truck . its def nothing special on the road but to me it is . I have been def driving it like i own it :)
    at first :
i was really really stressed out about the truck actually , just waiting to break down , especially over oregon mountains pulling 40k. I was Starting to finally relax until i got to salt lake when couple idiots almost ran into me.. going so fast! . I was pissed off .. Usually this crap doesnt bother me but I havent driven for about 4 months and just getting use to idiots out there again will take me week or so lol..
seeing 4 trucks break down in front of me going out of salt lake on i 80 and 84 , that steep freakin hill really stressed me out
once i got to denver i told my self no more. whatever happens happens .#### it ..i am not waiting ..when it happens , I will fix it and thats it .. not worth stressing when its not going to help the situation.

the fun part is that this 12.7 l really impressed me with pulling power , its not as bad as people told me it would be . and i love my reefer unit NOW that i am use to sleeping with it .. . its pretty addicting sound lol just saying :biggrin_25523:

    the bad:
    1. my trailer wheels are leaking oil hahal , just saw it few hrs ago ..its spraying on wheels... i checked seals they just look funny ..also when i removed the seals i saw lots of thick oil in there ..but thats the only plece where i see the leak . ...also I still havent had my first dot inspection , could that get me in trouble ?

    2. i really really hate idling .its been 3 days 13.6 gallon ..suxx ..and i try so hard not to ..i dont mind the heat .but buddy needs chilled cab . funny dog .. i cant wait to build my capital so i can buy my home made apu .

other than all that everything is good. ..
Thanks to all you guys and your helpful posts I think I prepared pretty good so far .
    ill keep u posted

PS. randy mcnally 720 did nto impress me at all. its their graphsic and map style they are using . Not user friendly. My droidx with google map is the best man . I love that thing. I know I know its not trucker route friendly blah b lah .... i like it ..its so ACCURATE take that randy , and cobra and software whatever crapp :yes2557:

ANYBODY WANT TO BUY IT???? ILL SELL IT FOR 250 :)

Who did you get the freight from? Seems like you're off to a good start.

If the oil is coming from the fill cap on the front of the hub, those hub covers are around $20 and take 15 minutes to change/refill. Probably a good thing either way. The inspection windows are probably clouded up on the old ones and they could be over filled.

Otherwise, congrats on an almost trouble free maiden voyage!

Great to hear and best of luck here on out--what I am wondering is the load--you said it is 55degand U r keeping it at 65? or r u talkin bout truck AC?
Just wonderin--cause if you dont want to idle and have a 65deg load--wish i could find some of my pics from the old days--when used to sleep in Wagon back in day--cause no AC and way TOO hot to sleep in truck! LMAO
