More money per day for being left sitting would be nice and especially if left sitting under a load. Some type of bonus system would also be nice. OT delivery, no accidents or something along that line.

I think the forward facing dash cam is probably an insurance driven thing but I don't have a clue why any company would want to put a camera on their driver. What....you want to prove he did something wrong and that you shouldn't have hired him in the first place? That's just brilliant! Seems to me that would be a double edged sword. Personally I would far rather screen my prospective employees better in the first place, train them better from the get go, and then have policies and incentives that made them want to continue working for me. Don't know how this camera thing is really going to work out for TransAm.

Panhandle, I know you don't work for TransAm anymore, but how have your miles for the month of June been? I have heard that freight is down across the board ? For TransAm drivers this should have been a good month ...Beer and Beef:biggrin_255:....but everyone seems to have had a so so month.

Ok, just to change the subject. T-660, 680 or 700, which would you rather drive and why:biggrin_25525:?

    I am most comfortable in the 700 6' 5"
biggest and widest of the three
if you had a standard 660 you would have to climb over the shifter
then trip over the 3 inch lip to get into the sleeper
I cant get the 660 seat up high enough with the smaller windshield to be comfortable

people seem to like the 680 but as with most new trucks
a lot seem to be having problems

Have heard (will probably KNOW myself this next week) that the leg/footroom in the 660 is very limited. I can believe it, those cabs look pretty narrow!

Husband always liked the 660. He isn't quite as tall as Pete. The 660 had the least amount of repairs and stayed going down the road. His main complaint with the 660 was the headlights ....the low beams were horrible.

This may be a dumb newbie question, but....are some of the new brighter bulbs that you see for 4-wheelers in any auto supply store available for big rigs too? Oughta be, if not, I'd think.

I love my 680 and so do most of the guys Ive talked to who have them. However it seems like pretty much all of us who have 680s are having plenty of problems. One guy was on the yard with his second cracked head. Ive had plenty of problems and still need to get my blown hood shock replaced. Electrical issues run rampant in this model. But at least KW is taking care of the 7prong outlet now. The 700 is a great and comfortable truck, but I do prefer the performance of the 680 (when shes not in the shop LOL)
