I've never used a recap and have a couple questions. I did some digging but couldn't find any answers for my scenarios.
If I use up my 70 in 5 days when can I get some more hours back to drive?

At midnight on the eighth day...
MJ1657 Thanks this. -
Thanks. That's what I thought but was not completely sure. No fun

When you gain what ever hours you worked on 8th day. If you only worked 3 hours that is what you get...
MJ1657 Thanks this. -
but under that scenario under todays rules on the 8th day you could have your seventy back, I guess this is a case of where us old guys have an advantage in having run under the 10 drive and 8 hour off rules.

www.logbook.com its a godsend i'll never go back

A few years back I would run hard and use up my hours in 5-6 days and simply did the restart. Tho now the rules are changing so this might still be an option but do your homework. I just back into driving after a few year break but do mostly local runs, so no log book for me.

Looks interesting Fisher.
Do you use it and print your logs or just use it as a reference guide?
Does it work on a smart phone? -
a lot of guys use it. and a lot use drivers daily log. (those that don't have a leash)
i use trucklogger. -
there are apps for smart phones that do logs and i hear they are pretty good but me personally havent tried em. i use eclipse on my laptop and when i was in the free trail mode i ran paper and used the program as a reference after about 10 days i was hooked so was about the 4 "old timers" that i turned on to it i now run a cheap printer from wally world and print em in the truck. DOT loves them along with my office staff me personally my handwriting sucks so it has a been a god send for me even somewhat helps u out in the being "creative" aspect of logging
