1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

    About Me
I have a solid 10 yr work history but only 1 year experience as a driver
I have a clean MVR and no criminal record
I have no accidents except for scraping a concert pillar with a drive tire rim, bent it about an 1/8 of an inch. Just enough to let the air out of the tire as it rolled. Never touched the tire and why do they paint those things black anyway.
I really don't want to leave my current job but the miles just aren't there. I like to think of myself as a dedicated employee so quitting a job doesn't feel right to me. I guess Im looking for a company that feels the same way.
I live just north of Chicago, Illinois

    What I would like.

    APU or liberal idle policy,
    Inverter allowed
I understand that there are bad weeks but i would like miles to average over 2700 per week
My home time needs are very light as an example in the last six months I have spent 7 nights at home. I don't require a regular schedule for time off so when I do request to go home it shouldn't be a problem. I went home for jury duty requested 2 night and they gave me 4 second time home I requested 3 days.
Pets, I have a little dog and I understand a companies need for a pet deposit I will not pay cents per mile for my dog.
    Quality equipment
Truck governed higher than 65 if using elogs, or use paper. if using elogs the machine needs to work properly.
Bonus make them attainable from my work effort. If its a mileage bonus then dispatch needs to have the miles
    No per diem
    No 1099
    Direct deposit

Excepting the area, I don't know if the company hires outa that area, everything else check marks, Western Flyer Express has dryvan, flatbed and just started a refer section ( 4 to 6 months ago). We get miles and I know others do as well. Flatbed drives Petes, dryvan and refer has KWs and freightliners.

Melton, but again I don't know if they hire outa that area. We got less miles with them, but they are all flatbed, so tarp pay ( same with wfx fladbed gets a little less mileage but adds tarp pay). They mostly have KW's are very good in the maitenance department ( better than wfx really).

We never had a problem with Melton going home or with wfx really, mostly with us it's getting that load out of FL.

I've seen all the "mega" carriers of course. We tend to stay in the south, mostly below Tn with WFX, but I know others who are in the north east alot. Melton well all winter long we were running above 40, with short bursts down to Laredo to pick something up then back up north Gary Indiana to mass then back towards the Dakotas, so

    Bram Thanks this.
