I agree with the others. With what sounds like less than 3 months experience don't worry about what truck your driving. I would drive the biggest POS out there if I made top dollar. Worry about learning what your even doing first. Then look for a company with the perks you want

you can do whatever you want on paper, will that 4500 miles look like 3 months when they go and verify your employment? unless you think they're just going to take your word for it.
you're basically a cdl grad at this point -
My husband says he would love a 379 Pete. . . . Black, chromed out with l.e.d.'s (chicken truck lol) BUT for now our 2009 KW t-2000 will have to do. . . .He's happy with the mileage we get at this company. The money is good. . .so far.
He says he would go back to that raggedey @#%& @##%& @#%&* of a 95 Mac IF he could make money driveing it. ( local logging. Thing was broke down more than it ran) -
Shoot as an O/O I'm "happy" to have the old 1996 International cab over w/o A/C I drive. It makes me money, doesn't break on me (knock on wood) and it looks good going down the road, in an old school kinda way LOL. But how I'd love a conventional cab with AC when it's 115* out in the desert and your leg is baking from the steel shifter plate on the dog house right next to your knee. Nevermind the gynastics I gotta perform just to get dressed in the morning..... new guy, take what you can get, build your experience, and then you can be picky. Good luck.

stevens,conway freight,navajo all have 660s

Idk, Personally I think the more experienced you are the crappier the truck you drive on average lol, the more you get paid as well though. With experience and more mechanical knowledge it helps a lot when you go to the O/O side of things as well. I drive an 850,000mi t2000 (pre-emissions) and I actually like it more than the new prostars I used to drive minus the wind noise lol.

I would have to agree with you silentlysailing, I've seen some guys that have over 20 and 30 years behind them and they drove ####, i mean #### trucks... There clonking and clanging down the road having nuts and bolts bounce like bouncy balls behind them... lmao...

Yes, TransAm but keep in mind at TransAm they are automatics.
-
Thanks passport220, no automatics for me...

Melton (flatbed, also have freightliners), Navajo (van), Central Oregon (flatbed), system (flatbed) and hundreds of others have T-660's in their line up, some with other makes and models as well. But like other have said, I would worry more about getting experience first and getting with a good company that will treat you good and has plenty of freight.
