I have been running back and forth for the last four weeks. I am usually light coming down, but have a ltl loads with plenty of picks and stops. I have averaged between 8.8 and 9.0mpg going to CA. On the way back I usually have produce and scale around 74-75k and I have averaged 7.8-8.2mpg. This trip I had 19 drops with 8 of them in or around downtown L.A. and I just finished up offloading and I am at 8.8mpg sitting in San Diego. I will be hauling chocolate back on this trip and I am usually heavy on that return load as well.
The truck has the D-13 500hp I-Shift and 3:36 rears.

In South Africa you can now buy a Nissan UD class 8 truck tractor with a 490hp 13l Volvo motor coupled to a I-Shift.
As the Nissan UD have been my most trouble free trucks (I have American,European, Jap and Indian) this is very appealing to me. -
US Express no longer unless they have changed back. They may have some automateds left.
KANSAS TRANSIT Thanks this.
