Another driver that works at my company used to have one in his truck and had a lot of issues with the radio. He very well could have had a dud, but his had a big time rx problem. He was using a predator 10 k tuned perfectly with an external meter. He ended up selling the radio and buying a nice ranger export. He is most definitely getting out now
Beau3210 Thanks this. -
Thanks for the reply. Have had a 29 Ltd before with no issues but have not heard much on the new Bluetooth models (good or bad).

I've got one here in the shop that works fine. Well, it works fine *now*, after turning down the bright green Nitro-Knobs (I swear, you could read the fine print in a purchase contract at 20 paces at midnight by the light from them), re-soldering the clipped limiter, and tuning it back to spec.
It took a little while for me to get used to enabling and pairing the Bluetooth. And it was hard to avoid the temptation to hit the PTT on the mic when using the BT for a phone call; it's ingrained in me to, well, push to talk when I'm holding a PTT mic
When using it strictly as a CB, it works fine, and meets published specs now that the radio part has been returned to stock. I personally find the BT feature to be superfluous; i prefer to use a regular BT earhanger when I need one for hands-free phone use, but it's also a deluxe BT with great noise cancelling, something the BT part of the CB mic doesn't provide.
But that's just one guy's experience. Based upon my own experience, I wouldn't buy another one unless it were cheap enough to be so much better a deal than a regular '29 that I just had to have it. And I wouldn't bother using it for my shoe phone
