Not always. I pretrip, then idle while doing logs, trip info etc so it is not rolling within 6 seconds of starting.
But I get a mile down the road and stop at a light and white smoke comes from under the cab. Sometimes a lot. But then nothing the rest of the day.
Then it won't happen again for a week of morning starts! Once it happened in the middle of the day...?
I have looked it over as best I can for leaks. It does not smell like oil burning, nor green antifreeze (I am not familiar with the smell of the red that we use).
All gauges are normal. It does lose or burn coolant over a month or so...
Road breakdown has no clue. It has been in the dealer shop for two other unrelated issues and I asked them to look, no comments from them on it.
Another driver says his truck does the same thing.
Thanks in advance for any ideas.
