Nervous as hell. made my decision due to over companies not having certain things like apu, low pay, low miles, giving me the run around with certain questions. my recruiter answered all my questions honestly in my book. straight forward didn't seem to guess or say things like I think that's how it goes.

Not really, just learn the Stevens way which may he a bit different than what you are used to, go with it, understand you first loads are not going to be the great ones... My first solo load was 1500 miles, 5 days and 5 stops... they get better with time though as you prove yourself willing and able to run the loads and make OTD your miles and quality of loads will improve.
Stevens has plenty of miles and although it is not the highest per mile company going, the average length of the runs males up for that somewhat. Nothing better than a 2200 mile 4 day run where you just have to drive.
The aviary is a great thread with tones of advice and this Stevens forum is one of the more active ones here on TTR.
