Mexican truck drivers can work all day and cross the border and work all night without anybody knowing a thing about it. Speaking of regulations, here are some interesting violations other than hours of service. Junior Hoffa with the Teamsters was against this when Bush was pushing it, but silent now that his god Obama sealed the deal. It is just like any other industry, Americans might as well learn to live homeless. We have let our country be given away. The Republicans want illegals here in the country for cheap labor, and the Democrats want them here for "diversity" (cheap labor that will accept communism) and there you go. By the way, here are some Mexican trucks. Remember Junior Hoffa protesting Bush for bringing in the Mexican truckers, well Obama sealed it and now Hoffa is silent. The unions were against it when Bush presented it simply because they did not want the 34 hour restart. Been that way since inception and they still do not like it now.

I think the hrs of service rules need to go back like they were, when we had the power to decide we were tired, not the government.

I'd personally like to see them be a guidelines. It was said in another thread. Make the 11/14 a guildline but let us work as many hours as we want. Sleep when we want, drive when we want, and don't cap it. If you have 34 continuous off you rest the clock and go back to 0 for your time. That being said should you not follow the guildline and get in an accident that is YOUR fault you get the book thrown at you. Far as I'm concerned I don't see a problem with that. Now you get in a fatality accident that's your fault when you weren't following the guidelines for the HOS you lose your driving privlages for life.

That's what I'd like to see it'll never happen but I'd like to see it. We all know our limits, and know what we can and cannot do behind the wheel. We also know when we need sleep and when we're fine to drive. Let us drive and do our jobs and quit limiting us. Either that or get rid of this 7/60 8/70 ########. go to a 6/60 or 7/70 I wouldn't have a problem with that either. The overnight rest periods well I have a problem with that because it interrupts sleep patters should've been reversed 12 hours for restarts for night drivers but that would've been 2 smart and too easy. I don't care for these HOS rules but I'm not going to complain about them just do what we have to do. I'll wait till the shutdown happens and park it with everybody else and let the country see how much they really need truck drivers.

I agree...........guidelines need to be made, but let us drivers run how we need to run and let us rest when we need rest. just leave us alone. its ridiculous how they think they know what we need when none of them have ever really worked in their lives. politicians are not part of the real working class.
