Elk City, OK... waiting with the other four thousand and eleven trucks here for our shipper to get their junk fixed. :biggrin_25521:

Hmmm. Sales just called. They have a load going the other way that another driver can't get to. They want me to grab it, run a shift to Arkansas, relay it to another driver, and then get on a load out of Russellville.

    :biggrin_25524:

    Sounds like a plan! :biggrin_255:

    Joplin, at the Petro.

Plan changed enroute... got the trailer, sales decided to do the swap here in Joplin. Going to Noel MO to some podunk Tyson plant. Light load going to Grandview WA for Tuesday morning.

    :biggrin_255:

So the deal in Elk City is that two days ago the shippers inventory database was corrupted. I've dealt with that kind of thing, and if it isn't just a couple of links that need tweaking, it's a major cluster F. This was major, and what's worse is that all of the stuff has to satisfy the FDA before they can ship. They've been doing an inventory of everything in the plant, matching meat, inspections, cased meat, to their records. All of that was getting done today. They still have to get it back in the computer and verify the database is intact before they can generate bills, load trailers, and get the 30 or 40 trucks sitting there going.

    :biggrin_25521:

I bet the guy who was late for the load I picked up is royally hacked off tonight! :biggrin_25523:

I've been to Noel MO. Slide your tandems all the way forward and stay away from the cliffsides. You might have to drive with your left steer on the double yellow line around those corners, or scrape your trailer against the rock wall. Once there, DON"T CROSS THE BRIDGE!!! (Opps, I did that?) the drop yard is the unmarked yard just before the bridge on the left. Good Luck, as that place always generates a good story.

Headed to Smuckers (It's gotta be good) to pick up a load then off to SLC. Should be there tomorrow night.... DROP AND HOOK ! ! ! !
