Back at home until Monday Morning

 

I was up in my office this morning working on typing out my Expectations and my 5 week lesson plan and my phone rang. By the time I got to it they had hung up. I recognized it right away as a North Little Rock Exchange....I thought to myself....left the fun and games begin....lol
It was Jenny and she apologized for calling me on a holiday. I told her it was no problem as I was doing my lesson plan. Seems there was a student that did not turn out to be a good fit with the trainer that he had, and got out of the truck after 4 days. I was the closest trainer within 150 miles so I got the call. Made contact with him and he seems like a very good guy. He even laughed at my jokes....lol. I got him a room set up in Sunbury for Sunday night and I will be picking him up on Monday Morning.
I thought it would be a week before I got a student, but I am excited to be getting one right away.
Jenny told me I did not have to call him right away but I wanted to put his mind at ease and to get him thinking positive as soon as I could....I think I accomplished that.
So this is a good lesson to be learned for students. If for any reason it does not work out with your trainer, Maverick is more than happy to get you set up with another trainer. They want you to succeed!
As I have all along, I will keep you all posted on the day to day adventure...however I will not give names or anything like that as it is not necessary...i will refer to him as Student #1.

That is true, but that was a couple of weeks ago. Some people do not have the aptitude for this...and that is ok. Sarge did his best and went above and beyond the call of duty. I do not think Sarge will wait as long the next time to pull the plug...lol

 

When I set up my hotel for my student, I specifically asked the lady if there was room to pull in with a semi when I drop off and pick up the student. She told me there was plenty of room. Yesterday I drove by it to check it out. There was no way in my opinion to pull through their property with a spread axle, and you could only turn around in the complex if no one was parked in the bob evans. So I will need to pull in turn left down the one dead end, and then back down and park in front of the building on the access road. Goes to show, you can never trust anyone when it comes to getting into and out of some place...lol
