Yeah but to do the % program don't you have to have experience as a o/o first? Like a year? I figure I'd run the mileage for the first year just to get the feel if things before switching to %.
Even at that mileage pay figuring 2500 miles a week after the truck payment and insurance and everything I think you'd still bring home over $1000 in pocket. My math my be wrong as I'm using the numbers I've seen here on the forum.
and the best part about that account is almost all the loads are shorthaul loads.

I have been driving for two years and just over one yr with Schneider,, I am a co driver and thinking about going owner/lease with sni ... ill take any advice you have I would like to do the choice option do I have to do the mileage thing as a new o/o lease driver who is a good person to talk to at Schneider also can I use sni health ins or is there a good other option . thanks for your ideas
-
If you live in the west, I believe there is a requirement to be on the mileage program until a position for choice opens up. In the east you can go directly to choice, If your on mileage you can get SNI benefits. On choice you have to get your own. They provide health ins option through an outside company so we can get group rate. It is not the same as company but so far I have no complaints. Have not use the benefits much but will keep updating as I go on my thread -> http://www.thetruckersreport.com/truckingindustryforum/schneider/159117-running-with-schneider.html

After read , compare and read,read,read... I'm stuck. Please look my statement on 2013 and tell me I'm not crazy, go with -
Hi Anfed, Not sure of your question? I probably can help, but don't see the statement either.ANFED Thanks this.

After much deliberating and number crunching I have decided not to do the lease program. Too much risk at this point in time. If I was single with no kids then it would be great. With 5 kids to support a baby in the way and a fiancé to support it's just not worth it.

I think you would be surprised how well you could do on choice program. I understand the risk being taken! Can't fault ya there, especially with little ones to raise. Maybe later down the road when they are grown.. Best of luck!mattbnr Thanks this.

I just got approved yesterday from Schneider Finance, and I've never worked for Schneider. And I already signed up for the Choice Program. I went that route after reading the forums, haven't read much about running the Mileage Program.
