Omaha at three claas plant ready to load tomorrow.
Helped a rookie rhoel driver at the rest area in Iowa on my way . His load had shifted and was overhanging the side of his flatbed! Backed my trailer up to the side of his, put blocking on it, then aired it all the way yo to lift the flange of the pipe above trailer height, as it had come off the trailer and dropped down over the outside of the rub rail. 20 minutes with some 1/2 inch chain and a binder made him legal again.
Poor guy had only been at it 2 months he said. Another guy stopped to help too, who saw what had happened when on i80 and following the guy, but when another rhoel flatbed came into the rest area, he just used the bathroom and left, wanker.
Gotta love air ride trailers with adjustable ride height!

evening Martin,
can you chain down a combine without T hooks or J hooks or whatever they are?
Ron -
Evening Ron!
I think John Deere use the t hooks.. Cat / lexion/jaguar are just the big slip hooks that we use
on 3/8 and 1/2 inch chain mate. I don't posses any of the t hooks myself.
If you get stuck feel free to give me a call mate

I think I accidently booked a combine for monday - doesn't run - they called it a harvester. I don't usually haul ag equip so I wasn't sure if there were tie down points other than the specialized ones or if ome could just chain the axles. thanks Martin.

Rontonio hauling a combine
. We need pics..
Well a harvester could be also what they call a silage chopper.. But still it will be Ag. equipment.
Good luck with the load. Now you will have us all wondering.. Good Luck -
I will post pictures, if I haul it. Now the date has slipped a day. good news is when the new truck comes in I will be too heavy to haul combines!SHC Thanks this.

Martin, good job on helping the new guy . About 20 years ago I showed up at the Hoover Dam to load some Rock Drills that were used on the parcade expansion. There was a another guy there from BC as well. He basically tied down my load for me as I watched and "helped".
I learned so much and remember as if it was yesterday.SHC Thanks this.
