I have a question for ya papabear. I live in Linwood NC, in Davidson County. I live about three miles from I-85 and about 40 miles from I-40. Can you tell me if there are any trainers near my area for US flatbed div., and also the recruiter I briefly spoke with said if I live west of I-95, there wouldn't be any problem getting home on the weekends. Do you know if this is true or could you hook me up with a Mav trainer that does know. I am really interested in Mav, especially hearing all of the positive things on this thread. By the way, I am about a week from starting CDL training at the community college in this county and will be graduating the first week of June.(nights and weekends class) Thanks for all your info so far!

I am not a trainer, but we run that area a lot. You should have no problems getting home on the weekends.

He shoulda never made it outta cdl school if he couldnt read a map. If he had his cdl's before he went to maverick--he shoulda already knew how to read a map is what i am saying.
Tarheel , you goin to DCC? They have a nites and weekend class? I thought they only had a daytime class--just wondering. -
Didn't Poogodes25 say hubby was in Laurinburg NC? Perhaps that's part of the problem. From what I've been reading, the difference between Mav Flatbed and Mav Specialized is like night and day!

Hey Tarheel, which college you goin' to? Davidson CC? I'm over here in Salisbury NC. I'm thinking of going back on the road. Been 9 years since I quit drivin. Drove for about 5 years, 3 1/2 of it flatbedding (or covered wagon).

Thanks for that notarps. I guess I shouldn't have limited my audience to just trainers. Any Mav drivers will do, and i have seen alot of good info coming from you! Do you know about the trainer situation in that area, that is would i have to travel a great distance to get up with my trainer or are there any fairly close?
