We will know by next week; this last week was a Holiday week ...but what I foresee is violations up the wazooo due to the misunderstanding of the rules....
-
Here's one, my job is different than most, I don't take any breaks, I eat in the truck between mills and run as hard as I can.
The more loads I can do in my shift the more money I make, I can rest at the end of my shift when I go home every night and on my weekends.
Average shift is 12 hrs,14 is rare,9-10 not as rare, makes no sense for me at all to stop for 30 minutes.
It just screws up my day and costs me 2 1/2 hrs of home time a week. -
Hasn't affected me one bit, other then having to sometimes watch my time and prepare to take an unneeded and unwanted break.
And none of the four questions posed by Scooter are relevant, IMHO. The rule is stupid, asinine, worthless, and utterly senseless and will do nothing to increase safety.Roadmedic, volvodriver01 and 25(2)+2 Thank this. -
Ok, that is just creepy. Someone says "moderator" and poof, you appear.biggare1980, truckon, Roadmedic and 1 other person Thank this.
