I so agree with you. Since i got my CDL's--i will not put that endanger for no reason. Of course, i dont really drink anymore but the way i look at it--it cost me way too much to get my license and I sure aint gonna lose em over $1 beer for no one.

Don't you think we have enough laws. I mean come on now. Believe it or not it is illegal to start your car in the morning and let it warm up in your own driveway. But it is also illegal to drive down the road with frosted windows.:biggrin_25521:

You know, a few weeks ago I was at home with my truck parked in my driveway. I was doing a little interior cleaning, and ...get this part....I walked from my garage with a beer in hand, and into my truck. Now, do know that the truck was not even running, and didnt leave my driveway that day, but I got to thinking I was probably breaking a law (no alcohol in a CV). Even though there was ZERO chance of me killing someone, I was doing something illegal.

That is where this country IS headed. To where nothing at all makes any sense whatsoever. Actually, we're pretty much there now.

Wow--you cannot be serious! I think these DUI laws should be in effect. I dont care what kind of license you got. If a person with alcohol in his/her blood and has a wreck--they are the one likely to walk away while someone else dies. So you guys are saying it would be ok for a man/woman to kill your teenager in a car crash--no matter whether its 2 beers/tanked up. You think they deserve leniency? They shoulda done had stricter laws. And the scary thing is there are some cdl holders that have multiple dui's. :biggrin_25513:

I'm saying that if you are picking your nose while driving and kill someone you should do life. Also if you were using Kleenex tissues while driving, the manufacture of Kleenex:biggrin_2552: should pay too because everyone knows that they make Kleenex boxes for auto's and trucks and stuff.

No offense here....but you're not giving yourself much mental credit if that is what you think we are insinuating.

*Newsflash*....drink driving is already illegal, as is killing someone (in most cases)

Next thing MADD will dream up is that if you have an automobile accident, while sober, but are found to have an unopened 6 pack of beer in the trunk, then addition alcohol charges will be filed.

Also, I once drove through multiple states with 44,000 pounds of Budweiser. Can I get some emotions on that ? LOL

Soooooo...should a person, who has never killed anybody ever, be charged with the same exact punishment as a person who HAS killed someone?

I'd like to hear if anyone can make the distinction between the 2.

I think we can all agree that the fines should be STIFF and SEVERE for a person who's totaly bombed at like .2 or .3 and kills others on the highway.

But I'd like to know how many deaths have been attributed to someone who had 2 beers and then drove home after work. Probably none.

That is why We need good judges instead of more laws. I think that many fathers of three would be better judges than a million laws. But every time a good judge makes a decision some one appeals it to a Girl':biggrin_25511:y judge
