And THIS is the big question to ask. I suspect that you didn't receive an answer because this was intentional. I think they made the decision to do the final testing in TX on purpose. Then, if/when drivers like you were displaced, having gone through all that you had gone through, they were hoping that you would have just broken down at that point and signed on. And now they have a new recruit.

I don't put anything past many trucking companies. It was lawful but highly unethical and unprofessional. And that's the SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) for most trucking companies today.

Hey Romans. Sorry that happened to you. Glad to see you landed on your feet. I just wonder if you had told them no to the San Antonio job, once the Odessa job was filled, if you told them that you only wanted the Odessa job and then ended the call. I wonder how long it would have been before they called you back and offered you the Odessa job. Would have been interesting to see. If they hadnt called you in 24 hours the San Antonio job would have still been there.

Btw what Schneider did was bad but not bait and switch. They told him before he came out there that the Odessa job was full and San Antonio was only open. He could have said no. It would have been bait and switch if they said yes Odessa is open then he went out there and found out that San Antonio was only one open.

Hope National Carriers works out for you and your dog.

They tell you up front you have to pass the PWS at orientation, which is what he failed. It is administered by a PT on site, not a company employee. Many companies are starting to give these tests.

After reading all the posts here...i've come to 2 conclusions.

#1. The OP didnt do his homework, beforehand, and even after all the red flags still went. and it kicked him in the ###.
#2. He takes no personal responsibility, he blames the company. While I disagree with the company and what they do, it was mostly his fault for uprooting himself even with all these red flags!

I mean seriously, does someone have to hit the OP in the head with a brick before they get the point?

CRST isnt the best either, but I can assure you, if they pulled the crap they pulled with the OP, with me...I would have laughed them out the door.

People need to learn to use their brains that the good man upstairs gave them, instead of seeing dollar signs and looking for the LAZY WAY OUT!!!!

This here is a prime example of a driver seeing dollar signs, and not SEEING THE WARNING SIGNS! Then trying to blame the company for his own #######! SNI was wrong for Bait and Switch, but why the HELL didnt you tell them to go ### themselves after they pulled the B&S on you?? Thats just plain stupid, absurd, and ignorant.

I'd venture to say the OP sort of deserved this.

Also, I know someone here will try and say I work for SNI...well I dont, I work for another crooked ### company, CRST.

All this hostility is bled in from the company policies and the way they treat a driver. The cycle turns to the driver treating himself and others in such ways. All companies do this. Just realize how decent all truckers out here are. I mean respectful, courteous, very kind hearted, until they get that company training. Companies do this to them. All come fresh into the industry with nothing but a pure good heart and mind to do the right thing. Take me for example. After being in the industry a year I just wanna kill the entire world. Nothing wrong with me. I just drive a truck.
