A bizarre crash sends a semi truck barreling through the wall of a 24-hour truck repair shop. Officials say the driver lost control of his big rig on Interstate 70 at Salisbury in North St. Louis around 4:30 a.m. The semi hit a wrecker in front of the repair shop, splitting it in half. The truck then crashed through the building damaging as many as five or six vehicles. A piece of flying concrete injured an employee. There is no word on what caused the driver to lose control.

Wiseguy...Definitely good luck out there tonight. I think the highways are ok though, as are most of the main arteries and even many side roads. Neighborhood streets are pretty covered, but not too terribly. I really don't think we're going to get what they initially thought we'd get. Be safe...hope you're headed somewhere warm and sunny!

I saw this on the news....I too thought how ironic! :biggrin_2559:

What is bad is I am taking a little 4 wheeler from here to go to TN to pick up my next truck... I would rather be taking a load. I find them easier to drive than cars now.

Well, after I downsized from an Excursion to a mini-van...I hate getting ON the highway! My old excursion was definitely easier to drive, see around me, and I felt a whole lot safer in it!

I just saw that there was a semi tipped over here this morning just 2 miles from me...glad to know that wasn't you! :biggrin_25525:
